Join Our Team at Acland Street Physiotherapy - Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and Myotherapists Needed
June 1st Update: We are currently looking for a physiotherapist who has a clinical interest in Women's Health.
Due to the steady growth of our local Acland Street (St Kilda) sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy practice during the COVID-10, we are always interested to connect with community minded health professionals. In particular, we are keen to connect with local physiotherapists, osteopaths and myotherapists. We are looking for professionals who are driven to delight clients, motivated to build a loyal caseload with exceptional communication skills and love people!
At Acland Street Physiotherapy, we are very cautious about who joins our team so we are in no rush to recruit new team members. We prefer to truly get to know the potential candidate over a period of time first before we offer any opportunities.
Ideally:
1. You live local to St Kilda and appreciate its unique culture and vibes.
2. You believe that to be a respectable private practice physiotherapist, osteopath or myotherapist, it is essential that you have strong verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, commercial acumen.
3. You understand there is a difference between what the patient wants and what you think the patient needs hence you need to develop strong clinical skills in manual therapy, exercise prescription and education. Applying the latest in evidence based practice with a patient centric approach is both an art and science. We call this "clinical intuition" which develops with the right mentors around you, self-reflective learning and work experience.
4. You appreciate that communications outside the treatment rooms is just as important to the patient as while they are consulting with you.
5. You are interested in developing your manual assessment and treatment skills as a physiotherapist, osteopath or myotherapist.
6. You enjoy working independently but with the support of an experienced team in healthcare, digital health and business operations.
7. You have an entrepreneurial flare and have a "can do" attitude.
8. You are flexible with your availability and would consider working after hours and weekend.
9. Previous private practice experience is not necessary as mentoring is available,
10. You enjoy living a healthy lifestyle and love promoting it to your patients.
11. You are interested in building a personal brand and clinical niche for yourself leveraging our clinic's facilities, relationships and trade secrets.
12. You may not be skilled in social media, content marketing and clinical technologies (digital health and telehealth) but you recognise its importance and are open to learn.
13. Future leadership, managerial and innovative business opportunities for ambitious who are interested in taking calculated risks and challenges.
